Colorland Scribbles: A new journey

I'm considering journaling occasionally about some of the pieces I've been making. This is a quick test of that journaling system. 

Over the weekend I started on a new piece that begins to mashup the colorland series with the scribble picture series. It's mostly an extension of colorland.

 This weekend I started on what could be a new run of pieces that I'm tentatively calling "Colorland Scribbles". I'm using the same portrait aspect ratio as the scribble pictures, and then doing the colorland landscape thing.

It was a lot of fun to draw, and I hadn't done one in this direction in a while. I ended up completely messing up the layers in Adobe Fresco, and rather than trying to fix the issue (I had accidentally filled in the layer with the black lines with color, and I usually keep color and lines separate), I messed around with blending instead. The result is this faint and blown out image.

I was back at it again this morning with a new idea about where to take this. The idea is "revisions on a theme", which could take me anywhere. For now, I'll start with Colorland Scribble 1 above, and revise it into Colorland Scribble 2, and then revise that in some way, etc.

Colorland Scribble 2 so far is not a major departure. I lost the separate layer of black lines above, so I'm redoing the linework and adding some small embellishments here and there. Got about this far over the morning coffee:

Once the lines are done, my plan is to be more dedicated to the coloring part. Then once Colorland Scribble 2 is finished. Some part of this world will have to be erased, and replaced, and Colorland Scribble 3 will become a new thing.
